Acer Iconia Tab A500 Honeycomb Tablet

The Acer Iconia
        The Android tablet wars are starting to heat up and Acer has entered the fray with its Iconia tab A500. It has many new features but can it stand out in the field that has already crowded with the devices bearing the same OS and specs?





Acer Iconia Tab A500 is coated with Silver brushed-aluminium casing that extends from the back to the nicely rounded edges on top and bottom.Its length is 10.2 inches ,breadth 7.0 inches and height 0.5 inches.Its power button is in the left side which glows white when the tablet is on and orange when charging with display off.The volume controls are on the top of the tablet and the top also houses an orientation lock switch and microSD card slot which has a cover.The new feature of this tab is that it has a full size USB port,which lines the right side of the tablet along with a microUSB port and power jack,The headphone and microHDMI ports sits on the left.It also supports a front 2 megapixel front facing camera and a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.
    

                      The A500's 10.1 inch,1280x800 WXGA screen has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and good color depth.Powered by Dolby Mobile Technology the speakers on the lower back of the Iconia Tab pumped enough volume to fill a small room at around 70 percent.



The Iconia A500 runs atop a Tegra 2 platform. Nvidia supports its graphic quality which also hit the cash pot in sales and performance.It consists of 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of DDR3 RAM.The picture clarity is nice at 1080p. It also consists of The most popular operating system Android 3.0 (Honeycomb);and it also has the latest applications installed.It also supports multiple connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a seamless communication which feature the Sky Cross Antenna known as ZTE LTE Wireless Module.
