The Next BIG Things

Three new TECH IDEAS that are going to change your life

1.Serious Fun
It's Soccer's all new power player : A Ball that will store and generate energy when the players would kick it. 15 minutes on the field and it will light a bulb for 3 hours. Its inventors are : Jessica Lin, Julia Silverman, Jessica Matthews and Hemali Thakkar. It works on the principle of flashlights that charge when shaken. It is called the Soccket Ball.

2.Germ  Fighting Fabric
The Next miracle fabric may truly be a miracle. iFyber co-founder Aaron Strickland has helped to develop a technology that allows fabric to repel water, oil, fights germs, detects dangerous chemicals and explosives, and even conducts enough electrical power to power an iPod. The Company uses a special process to bind multiple nano particles to natural and synthetic fibres. In the next 5 years, expect to see their practical applications in Hospitals, Hotels, Law Enforcement and the Military.

3.Needle Free Vaccines
Boston University Scientists and Researchers have been working on a new technique of inoculation - No Injection Required. The Vaccine is inserted into nanoparticles, each no bigger than a human skin pore. These particles are then applied to a foil backed film that is placed on skin much like a Nicotine patch. A mild electrical charge from a Gun-shaped device is used to send the particles into the skin. From the skin, they are carried throughout the body by blood vessels. The new method says goodbye to needles and syringes and the pinching pain associated with their administration. Its developers are David Sherr, Boston University, assisted by Mark Horenstein.
