Micromax has unveiled its first tablet-Funbook which has many new features to provide utmost advantages at as low cost as possible. So lets check out the new features of this new tablet!!
The new players in the entry level tablet market are now providing some really cool stuff at such a lower price tag and Micromax Funbook tablet is one of them. Micromax tablet is launched keeping an eye on the large student base of India and is loaded with lots of utilities and content for students. First of all viewing its design the tablet is available in 2 colors Slate Grey and Midnight Black with a nice slim and sleek design. The front panel includes 3 physical buttons for Back, Menu and Home. It features a 7-inch 16:9 capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.The device may not be a champion in the screen resolution and clarity. Micromax tablet size (dimensions) are 192mm in height, 122 mm in width and about 10mm thick. The tablet weight around 350 grams.
It also features 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor with Dual Multi 4002D/3D GPU card for Multimedia Processing. It supports Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System which is already known for its unique and easy to use user interface and faster performance and is compatible with Google Play. IT has got a 0.3 Mega Pixel VGA sensor Front Facing Camera which has got the capability to capture crystal clear images and helps users make video chats with friends and colleagues. It has also the feature of watching HD Video of 2160P with astounding picture clarity. Internal memory of 4GB NAND Flash storage is provided which is double than tablet with price less than 5000. The internal memory can be extended up to 32GB using a flash micro SD card. RAM (Random Access Memory) of this tablet is around 512 MB which is again double than both of his cheaper counterparts. A gravity sensor and accelerator sensor is also provided in the tablet which intelligently recognizes which direction you are holding the tablet and switches to portrait or landscape mode accordingly. A moderately powerful standard 2800 mAh battery will offer up to 5 hours of browsing time for the Funbook.
It also has got some preloaded apps for read/edit any documents on the go-like ppt files,doc files , xls files, zip files,text editor,Adobe PDF Reader and Flash Player and many more.Its connectivity option consists of a HDMI port, 3G dongle support via USB, Wi-Fi connectivity for seamless web browsing and has got Tata Photon plus bundled for accessing social networking sites.Micromax has priced the Funbook at Rs. 6499 and it will be available for grabs at 1,00,000 retail stores across 50 cities in India shortly.
