Since ancient times man has known of warfare, weapons have kept on developing and new weapons have been invented. First starting with stone weapons, humans have invented swords, spears, then guns, rifles, shotguns, assault rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, etc.
Missiles are the most deadliest weapons created that have a devasting effect on the target. Not only do they blast off the target but also kill people around the area. But US office naval research claims to have tested a better intelligent missile with a better explosion.

Missiles that are made of high density metals are 5 times more powerful than conventional missiles that we use today. This missile is said to have been mixing high density metals and polymers. It is said to have density of steel but power of aluminium.

US navy also says that this material is going to pose less danger to innocent bystanders. Conventional missiles use steel casing and high explosives within. But this new approach to missile technology replaces inner casing with HDRM (High Density Reactive Metals) that explodes only when the projectile hits the target.


HDRMs are also tested for high durability and significantly increasing the explosive effect. They also increase the chances of what is called a 'catastrophic kill'. While conventional missiles hit the target and dissipate their energy into the target, this missile disintegrates inside the target causing a devasting effect on the target.

This missile is also going to be used as anti-missile weapon. With existing missiles it requires to fire twice for the steel fragments donot make it sure if target is hit or not. But with this reactive missile will react inside the missile and is sure to cause less economic loss.

These may also be applied to grenades and bullets and also bigger weapons although not with the regular M16A2 rifle but for higher calllibers it is possible.

But his missile technology will require 3 to 4 times the budget of today's technologies that may not be allowed by the government.

If war can be avoided, this wastage of money may be avoided. When we will stop war there will be no need of HDRM or any other powerful weapons.
